Year 7 Library Monitor Excursion /Bright Sparks excursion to Gordon White Library

The Bright Sparks booth has been travelling throughout Queensland filming discussions on creativity and innovation in every shape and form. The Bright Sparks touring booth has travelled to libraries and education centres around the state including Gordon White Library.

 

On Thursday May 28, Library Monitors travelled to Gordon White Library.  This excursion had 2 purposes:

A familiarisation for Library Monitors

To participate in the Bright Sparks travelling booth

 

Students were asked to share their creative ideas, songs, lyrics, poems, musical moments or inventions. West Mackay students certainly did that!

Liam Boue performed a juggling trick.

Matthew Minter spoke about his participation in drama activities.

bullet

Ashley Vella detailed the technology support he offers peers and teachers.

Jayne Glendinning sang a song, My Pony, by Casey Chambers

Pagan Camilleri performed a dance routine

bullet

Victoria Burton and Shay Fagg gave individual violin performances. Victoria’s violin piece was Click go the Shears and Shay played The Medallion Calls.

Meggie Everett and Brittney Janke performed a duet titled, Part of Your World.

bullet

Then to top it off; Meg, Victoria, Brittney and Shay combined their talents and as a quartet played Andantino.

 

The Bright Sparks pieces will then be sent to the Year of Creativity team to be uploaded to the Year of Creativity website.
