On Wednesday 9th March, our new Library Monitors had their first excursion to the City Library. We were met inside by Claire, who is the Young Peoples Librarian. She showed us all around and then we had some free time for our own exploring. Some of our favourite activities included looking at old copies of the Daily Mercury, which are stored on microfiche; searching for books on the Internet and of course reading our favourite books. When it was time to go I think we all wished we could have stayed longer.

Nikaela I liked looking at the very large old Rate books which were used before the 1940’s.  I could have spent all day here.
