This
year's Mayfair was another success which celebrated the culture of the
Mackay West State School community. It was also a very fitting end
to Education Week. A very large crowd of parents, staff, children
and friends of the school community enjoyed the many attractions and
activities of the Fair. On your behalf, I wish to congratulate the
P & C Association and the Mayfair sub-committee for their successful
achievement of another high quality Mayfair, based on hard work,
co-operation and a willingness to provide the very best facilities for
the students of Mackay West. Thank-you also to the many
volunteers, including parents, staff and children for their hard work
during preparations for the event and, of course, throughout the
day. it was also much appreciated to see families come along to
assist with the final clean-up on Sunday morning to assist us to have
facilities and grounds ready for school on Monday. It is actions
such as these that support the tremendous pride and family oriented
culture of this school. Your efforts are appreciated by the staff
and children of the school. Thank-you to all who attended and
